Printed version of “CSCL Practical Guide” is now available

Honeycomb Techno Research Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Mr. Meigan Chen) start selling the printed book “CSCL Practical Guide" of the Japanese Chemical Substance Law.


CSCL is the Japanese law regulating industrial chemicals corresponding to US TSCA and EU REACH. Mr. Fukushima was involved in the CSCL implementation for 14 years within his 32-year career in METI and NITE.

The book contains the outline of Japanese chemical regulation, CSCL history, detail explanation of the law and supporting document, new chemical notification and exemptions, risk assessment under the law etc. Especially in the section of new chemical notification, many practical information is included such as procedure to determine whether a chemical is new chemical or not, eligibility for exemption, test requirements evaluation flow. The book contains some 35000 words of text, 19 tables and 15 figures.
